A Room of One's Own -- Or the Whole World is Your Office

I am very lucky to have a home office that I love -- but I also have four kids and a husband who constantly knocks at the door and a very busy run around schedule and sometimes the "butt in seat" recurring task list to get my writing done doesn't happen in the afore-mentioned seat.
And I'm here to tell you, when you have to get those words on the page, you have to do that, anywhere and everywhere you are.
Carry your notebook everywhere, and/or liberally deploy the notes app on your phone.
In the last many weeks I have written my daily wordcount in the barn aisle, the lobby of my gym, and the front seat of my car while parked at the kids' school.
When you have to, you have to. You really can write anywhere, and when the work is really flowing, it doesn't care if you are in a room of your own. It doesn't care if there is ambient noise or a great window giving great light. It doesn't care if there is a candle, or coffee.
You can and will write anywhere, everywhere, and in every room of your house, too. (Do you have a house purse yet?)
No excuses. LFG.
