Sarah Kate Levy Receives Pivotal Endorsement

from Los Angeles County Congresswoman Katie Hill

Los Angeles, CA — Los Angeles City Council District 4 candidate Sarah Kate Levy received a pivotal endorsement from Los Angeles County Congresswoman Katie Hill. Representing California’s 25th Congressional District, Hill shares with Levy a commitment to solving Los Angeles’ housing crisis and addressing homelessness.

“To continue our work to solve the homelessness crisis, we need to elect leaders like Sarah Kate Levy, who will implement solutions we know will work, like developing housing that’s affordable. I am proud to endorse Sarah Kate because she has the drive and determination needed to get things done at City Hall," stated Congresswoman Hill.

Prior to serving in Congress, Hill worked as the Executive Director of PATH (People Assisting The Homeless), the largest homeless services organization in California, helping more than 7,000 chronically homeless individuals transition from the streets into permanent housing.

“I am honored to receive Congresswoman Katie Hill’s endorsement in my campaign for Los Angeles City Council,” stated Levy. “I have long admired her work at PATH, including her effort to pass Proposition HHH and Measure H. I’m proud to see her hit the ground running in Congress, fighting to make housing and health care more affordable. I look forward to collaborating with her to solve the many challenges facing our city.”

About Sarah Kate Levy

Levy moved to Los Angeles when she was 22 years old to become a writer when it was possible to rent an apartment for $300 a month and still support yourself as a low-paid assistant at a television network. Today, that opportunity is no longer possible for others.

Levy is a published author, screenwriter, and the voice behind the parenting blog ChecklistMommy. She is a dues-paying member of the Writers Guild of America, West. Dedicated to advancing women’s rights, Levy serves as the President of the National Women’s Political Caucus, LA Metro, and volunteers with the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project. She also serves on the board of The Library Foundation of Los Angeles.

Levy is a homeowner in Hollywood, where she lives with her husband and their four children.
