About SKL
I’m a writing coach and developmental editor who works with writers of all genres, at every level of the art.
My process is driven by my deep belief that we all have our own individual way of telling stories, and every story tells itself a different way.
My job is to help you tell your story, your way.
I do this work because over the course of my own writing career, I have found that I take real intellectual and personal joy from working with other writers. I know the struggles we all feel, trying to get our visions on the page. I know the elation we feel when we get a scene just right.
I know it because I live it.
My own writing credits include stories and essays published in literary magazines and anthologies. I co-wrote a Sony picture, and back in the day, I was the voice behind a fairly popular Mommy bog, too. Before that I earned my English degree at Yale, and my Master’s in Professional Writing at USC.
Currently, I’m working on revisions for my cozy little mystery starring a ragey perimenopausal heroine in northwest Colorado, playing with a handful of short stories, and making notes for a speculative novel, too.
