Sarah Kate Levy
Sarah Kate Levy is a WGA screenwriter. She has also published essays, short stories, and was the voice behind the internationally-read parenting blog, ChecklistMommy.
Sarah Kate ran for Los Angeles City Council in 2020, on a climate and social justice platform of abundant housing, transit, and trees. Sarah Kate was endorsed by Congresswomen Katie Porter and Katie Hill, and garnered more than 10,000 votes. She is currently writing a novel about that experience.
Sarah Kate remains active in local politics and community advocacy, as a member of the the Heart of Los Angeles Democrats, Democrats for Neighborhood Action, and Stonewall Democrats. Recently, she founded Edson Lopez Noel, a political action committee whose mission is to build a true pipeline of prepared women candidates with deep community support.
She also serves as the VP of Communications for Democratic Parents; as President Emeritus of the National Women's Political Caucus, LA Metro; and she sits on the Boards of the Heart of LA Democratic Club, and the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
Sarah Kate lives in Hollywood with her husband, their four kids, two dogs, and a cat.
